Rumble & Swirl
My works on paper are neither paintings nor conventional prints. They are one-of-a-kind encaustic monotypes, a unique process that I furthered and have taught to many hundreds of artists. Here, intention, intuition, and touch combine with the effects of heat and gravity. The fluidity of the wax requires a letting go, while remaining mindful. The encaustic image is offset to paper where it is absorbed, cooling and affixing the image, and my movements, in time.
