The most profound influence on my work is my childhood on the Gulf Coast. There, the verdant land, hurricanes, disappearing coastlines, majestic oaks, and the calm yet potentially destructive water and wind shaped my worldview. These experiences continue to inform my practice: exploring nature's beauty and uncertainty through abstraction and materials.

Since moving to New Mexico, this foundation has deepened. Spiritual journeys and encounters with the desert's spare geometry, alongside a growing fascination with science and ecology, have led to discoveries that feed into a central interest: how do we imagine a landscape for a world in flux—one that honors complexity, contradiction, and possibility?
