Re-invisioning the Landscape of a Changing World
The most profound influence on my work is my childhood on the Gulf Coast. There, the verdant land, hurricanes, disappearing coastlines, majestic oaks, and the calm yet potentially destructive water and wind shaped my worldview. These experiences continue to inform my practice: exploring nature's beauty and uncertainty through abstraction.
This foundation has deepened through spiritual journeys and encounters with the desert's spare geometry, alongside a growing fascination with science and ecology. These discoveries feed into a central interest: how do we imagine a landscape for a world in flux—one that honors complexity, contradiction, and possibility?
