This ongoing series, "For the Bees," was created in France during an artist’s residency. These encaustic paintings are dedicated to the friendly bees that visited my studio daily, attracted to smell of the natural pollen-laden yellow wax that they or their cousins produced for me.
My works are a metaphorical map of the intersection of nature and human activity. Ideas are given form through the language of painting. These lead to a deeper experience for me and hopefully for the viewer.
